Come on out and visit the TAR RIVER CHAPTER in Greenville, North Carolina! Our sister chapter, DownEast - Greenville is now a part of the Tar River Chapter! We believe in Stronger Together! Meetings have been smaller since Covid19 restrictions but we hope to see everyone venturing to the shooting range again soon! Remember it takes an hour a month just to keep the level that you are now - if you want to improve - we should be seeing you at the range!
We are meeting in person! We meet in the Pitt County Wildlife Clubhouse and there is plenty of space to social distance if you want! The PCWC is our host range and treat us like family and offer many opportunities to club events at club member prices! Besides TWAW meeting, once you join you can participate in Trap, Conceal Carry matches, and sniper matches! We hope soon to bring Appleseed and various other shooting opportunities!
TWAW Shooting Chapters exists to educate and empower women in a safe and non-threatening environment for their effective and responsible self-defense with a firearm. We meet monthly to practice, learn and grow as shooters. The Tar River Chapter welcomes ladies 14 years and older with all experience levels to gather with us to share knowledge, learn, practice and fellowship. Ages 14 to 17 years old have to have a female parent present for the meeting and on the range. Ages 14 to 17 is new for 2021!!
We do have leaders' husbands assist with our meetings as range safety officers. If at any time you feel uncomfortable you can request a female only instructor to work with you. We understand the multiple reasons why some ladies take up self defense.
Whether you are brand new or an avid shooter, come join us on an exciting journey to build your confidence, knowledge and skills while in a safe, non-threatening, fun environment! You can join even if you do not own a firearm yet!!! We do ask you bring new ammo in either 22lr or 9mm to use in firearms that will be available to you to learn while on the range.
Our Host Range, Pitt County Wildlife Club is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to the conservation and propagation of the fish, game and wildlife of North Carolina and to the shooting sports throughout the United States. Their goal is education and have many opportunities for the public throughout the year. They consider TWAW family and our members are invited to participate in all PCWC shooting events.
Joining TWAW is only $50 a year and includes access to TWAW only discounts and you can even visit other chapters across the United States! Non-PCWC members only pay $10 range fee when you shoot on the range! PCWC members do not have to pay a range fee at the meetings.
