This is the second in a series of two to three sessions on the mental, physical, emotional and legal aspects and considerations in using a firearm for self defense.
This month, we will be running through a couple of scenarios and thinking through possible responses and reactions. And, once the threat is stopped — or maybe it’s not — what to do when police arrive. We may also start into the emotional aftermath and what is “normal” after experiencing a traumatic event.
Last month, we discussed one of the most critical decisions you must make BEFORE carrying a firearm: Are you prepared to actually take the life of another human in defense of your own or those in your care? We also discussed life threatening encounters and the steps you can take to control the encounter, along with your potential physiological reactions during the encounter.
Next topic will be: How to prepare for and survive the battle that is the legal aftermath (Hint: This is another “don’t wait until the time comes” decision.)
This is open to TWAW members and their (female) guests!
Next Sessions: Wednesday, Oct. 24 & Nov. 8
