Knowing how a firearm works and how to ensure it is unloaded/safe is a must for responsible firearm owners. Sterling TWAW (The Well Armed Woman) will be meeting July 21, 2018 from 9-11 a.m. at Tri- State Tactical, 17282 County Road 32 in Sterling, for instruction and hands-on opportunities on how to render firearms with different actions safe.
If you have questions concerning your own firearm, please bring it unloaded. If you are not sure how to unload it, please leave it in your vehicle and a safety officer will help you clear it. All weapons will be unloaded/safe, and no ammunition will be allowed in the classroom as safety is our main concern.
TWAW Shooting Chapters exists to educate and empower women in a safe and non-threatening environment for their effective and responsible self-defense with a firearm. Prospective members are welcome to attend their first meeting prior to joining. If you would like to become a member you can join online at www.twawshootingchapters.org. At our last meeting on June 16, 2018 we met at the Logan County Shooting Sports Complex for some range time, and had a little personal shooting instruction from a couple of our supporters. As always, we are grateful for the assistance!
